    The Wonder Boy Bat

I've always wanted a Wonder Boy Bat that Robert Redford used in the movie The Natural. Unfortunately, the real one is a little out of my price range... But I did see a guy on this site who made his own replica. Does anyone have the specs on the Wonder Boy bat (length, type of wood, etc.) so that I could make my own?

    Thanx

I don't think you need "specs", just get a blank bat, something to burn your inscription into it and then pencil what needs to be done on the bat and burn baby burn. That's what I did.

    I'm drawing a blank

Where do you find a blank bat ? Most of them are already stamped "Louisville Slugger" or something like that.

You can order them on line, but I got mine from a sporting goods store in San Leandro. They aren't that hard to find.

    Hmmm...
I was afraid someone would ask the name of it! It's been a while since I've been in it. It is a very small store on East 14th, between the BART station and Bayfair Mall. On the opposite side of the street as the Mall. Sorry. I know that's a pretty big area, but that's as good as I can do right now.

    You'll need it first!!

And in that neighborhood, you'd better be weilding the bat, only go in daylight, and bring a bunch of friends

Well, you know I'm usually only down there when I'm working, which means I'm packing. Actually it isn't that bad down there, especially during the day time.

Which BART station? Bayfair or San Leandro? Between Bayfair and the bayfair BART station is not a very good area that is for sure. Between the San Leandro station and Bayfair is entirely different.
I don't think you mean West Coast sporting goods do you?
