This is one ride a friend and I are currently considering:

plus a possible more ambitious ride next year.

Current bike is 1943 Juniorwerke German army bicycle (needing work on the crank to make it ride-able, keep your fingers crossed) and a Chinese flying pigeon converted to a reproduction German army bicycle.

Well, I registered us both tonight for the 56Km section and booked the ferry. The intention is to ride from St Malo ferry terminal to the event and back. In 1930/40's period gear and period camping equipment.

Now all I need to do is get in the practice cycling!

That ride looks great fun, might try and get to that one next year, it's the weekend before our ride so can't do it this year.

Would love to see the German Army bike - where did you pick it up?

Paddy - That Rudge is a beauty and you're right the tyres really complement the look of it.

My Gazelle, Its rather heavy, and bigger than it looks in the Photographs, also the covers over the chain are fabric not metal which I think is a bit odd, or is that Traditional? i do love the cover very Eau De Nil

Mrs C-C, that is quite a typical Dutch style bicycle. The full chain guard where one can feed the oil in is usually metal, not fabric. Enjoy your cycling and thankyou for sharing your steed with us

that seller has some unbelievable bikes doesn't he ? (must say though i would prefer to see all cream tyres on that one).

here's a nice modern bike in a very vintage/classic style by the Italian company 'Taurus' :

i love the clean minimal look a coaster brake gives (i'm assuming it has a coaster!).

Question about the BSA delivery bike in this thread

Hi I'm new to your site and i'm just wondering if you still have this bike in your collection as i'm restoring one at the moment but the front rack has been removed sometime in the past and i noticed that your bike the carry basket tubes run through the frame at the front just like mine.So i'm asking if i could get some extra pic's of your bike and diemensions of the rack and foldout stand so i can copy them for my 2 star malvern star, thankyou peter.
