I like the glass for the fact that I think it is just cool. I really wouldn't recomend the glass. Logically I should go with the plastic... thin glass close to your eyes is a bad combination.
Though, I will still order the glass for future prescriptions.

Very cool Matt. Remind me of one of my favorite movie characters: Rick Schroder from the The Lost Battalion.

Umm. . . wow, I've never heard him referred to that way. The guy who played Gripweed in "How I Won The War" was a musician named John Lennon.Originally Posted by The Wolf

People think they are so rebellious and original, when really they are just banal, boring and dumb.
John Lennon? Wasn't he in a band with the guy from "Wings"?Originally Posted by Merlin

I have a few pairs of vintage sunglasses. I think they were the hardest thing aquire over my many years of collecting to complete my outfits. I prefer the 1930s ones actually. My grandmother had a pair of white ones with green lenses that were great....wish she had of kept them.
Matt..nice look all the way around! Thanks for starting this thread. I have wanted to look into vintage frames for some time, but wasn't sure if they could be fitted with prescription lenses. Now I know and a hunting I will go!![]()

Some frames can take a grind, others cant-
Generally you'll need a concave surface or groove in the inside edge of the frame for the new lens to grip.
Watch out for that-
