    Portis Sterling wide bound brim

Brim binding is 1/2" wide with two rows of stitces top and bottom. The brim is 2-13/16" wide. "Protek" Sweatband 2" with reed finely stitched at edge to hat and sweatband stitched along the same edge similar to the Stetsons of the early 1940's. Firmly factory pressed form.

    Pack of Pressed Portis

Here's the consistency of the factory pressed form. Approaches the consistency of JtL.

    The "Green Hornet".

1960's Portis, Suede Finish, 4x Beaver I found in the 'bay for next to nothing.

And here's my old worn-out head stuffed up in it.

    Portis Sterling

Landed this one from 'Bay trolling:

Really nice dense but lightweight felt. I couldn't get a good shot of the embossed "Swansback water repellant Cushion Band" embossing on the sweat.

    2 1/2" bound brim, 1 1/4" grosgrain pug, 4 1/2" uncreased crown.

    Love it!
