Open crowned black Homburg! Pristine condition and vintage box. Great auction win, Pilgrim.![]()

I couldn't resist taking a shot at this - advertised as Stetson but really a bit of a crapshoot.....
Auction ended last night.
Anyone familiar with the store "Brodt" or the location?
Also, what are your bets - black, or dark blue? I'm thinking black. Brim is reported as 2.5", which is just right for me.

My guess would be that "Stetson" is just a key word that the seller put in the title so the item would show up in searches. It looks like a good hat though, and the price was right.
Let us know what it looks like when it arrives. (Oh, and my money's on black.)

I have one hat by Brodt's, and a borsalino sold by them, I did have another borsalino sold by them, but I sold it. They sold very nice hats. They went out of business years and years ago
I think you made a good choice. Let's see some pictures when you get it.

Looks like a great price.. I have to learn how to shop for a hat on E-bay.
Think while you still have me!
Move while you still see me!
You'll be lost, you'll be so so sorry when I'm gone.
I still have one...Originally Posted by bolthead
The big decision once I get it will be (if it's a homburg) whether to flatten the brim or not. It would sure make a dandy fedora!
