Josh, I agree with the others-- beauty of an SS, and you wear it really well. My SS does not have the Carter sweatband, at least not that I know of. I'll have to double check but I think it's just a sewn in black leather. It's about the season for me to start breaking it out, too.

Thanks, Jeff!! I'd be really interested in seeing if there are any markings under the sweatband of your SS if its not a Carter. I wonder if its a replacement.

Definitely not a Carter, but the size tag has print on it that says "7 1/8 Custom Made" and sweatband says "Excello." Looks original to me.
