Today, I'm wearing my Resistol Wide Country. I'll be honest...I bought this hat several years ago and today is the first time I've had the courage to wear it. It is a nice hat...and it fits very well...but it just seems small…and my head is definitely big. I'm trying to think of it as a stingy brim San Antonio, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to rock this hat. Adding to my distress, my pretty, young paralegal, who snapped this second photo, just walked out of my office snickering. In law enforcement, we call that sort of thing a clue.

David, not sure what color has Mr.Main Street, but looks good.

Mike and Ale, both Knox Twenty, looks really good.

Perry, sometimes is the difference what make it different. Was that right? (heavier sentence for me)

gtdean, very nice, two great Hats.

atticus, fine looking Resistol, fits you perfect.

Good. I certainly prefer the Costanza Baby to the Austin Powers version.
I build custom fishing rods on the side to support my fishing hobby and now, apparently, my hat obsession.

    Atticus,

I have had a couple of those shorter-brim OR's through the years. I think the cattleman's crease just doesn't fit as well with a brim less that about 2 1/2. Therefore, I recreased the hat to a center dent or C-crown and it looked better.

Having said that, I don't think that one looks that bad on you, but may look better with the brim down a little more.

AF, I really like the Wide Country, but "smaller" brims often tend to look bigger on me anyway. I like my brim snapped down, and the pinch being a little closer in the front. It's a really beautiful hat. Wear it with pride! In the photo below, the one on the left (obviously).

The original cattleman, pic taken when I first got the hat, still with brim down.

That's really beautiful. Warmer tones than usual?

This one is an ash-y shadow of gray. The heaviest felt that I own and the only suede finish I have.

I thought that you had an Optimo (or two) with a suede finish.

I have two in classic weight --their regular finish--(one more being shipped to me soon ) and one velour. Maybe you're thinking about that one.
