"Mad Men" on AMC (US) - (Spoilers Within)

Last season was a slow starter, as I have said before here. I'm enjoying it regardless and think they are building things up slowly. I think saying it 'sucks' is bit muchwhen you compare it to the other crap that is on TV at the moment.

Roger's reaction was so typical of the era too. I remember seeing that attitude around a lot as a kid, where friends grandfathers would not buy Japanese products and would bag them out whenever possible...and that was in the 70s...many never ever got over the war, which is not surprising at all.

I'm wondering aif something 'real' is going to develop for Don and the Dr. A healthy relationship for him for once.

I thought that too...they had a genuine moment, and we know Don does not have many of those.

Yeah, he needs a woman that is her own person and independent to shake him him up. he would understand how to deal with his issues too possibly, being a Dr.

I'm also really surprised that Betty actually agreed to Sally getting some counseling. Maybe the poor kid will get some help now.

I felt bad seeing Sally tossed into a four day a week therapy session when it's her parents who need the counseling.
Betty didn't have the decency to bring her daughter to the appointment. She had the maid deliver Sally as if she were a piece of laundry being dropped off for a clean and press.

Is anyone else getting the feeling that this new season, is extremely lack luster?

Unlike the first 3 seasons, these recent episodes seem to end when it ends. Rather than before, where the episodes would seem to have a slightly unfinished ending, and make you want more?

I hope I make sense, because this season, for a lack of a better word, sucks.

The story doesn't seem as rich as it used to. I guess that's because everyones story has already been told, and now they're starting anew.

Hopefully this Sunday will bring something that will make me want to watch the 2nd airing, right after the first... Only reason I've watched the 2nd airing lately, is because I just had no idea what happened in the episode!

Also, I'm not liking the styling in this season as well. The hair is lazy. The past episode, Pete walks out without his hair made. And the episodes prior to, Harry hasn't done his hair! I liked his hair the best.

Hahaha the hair matters! They always got really accurate past-teen but still youthful styles for then. Things are building slowly and the styling is decaying, definitely not as rich.

My sister had a thing for Illya Kuryakin as well but I don't believe she ever expressed it like Sally did. At least not in the family room.

ACK! I just watched the last episode and there was my television, a 1960 GE Coaxial, inside my television. Pretty cool, but it will now forever be linked with the vision of little Sally caught in the act of 'wiggling'? (was that just a NY term?)

Oh, those two need counseling FOR SURE, but maybe Sally can salvage what's left of her childhood!

Emotions run high when it comes to war. Their was whole generations of people from the UK who never trusted Germany, and their are still WW II vets that I know of who still hate the Japanese. Some scars never fully heal.

I was really glad to see some of the humor come back in this episode. Punking the competition into blowing the budget on a commercial then telling Honda to take a hike really got me interested again. I liked how the whole team played to look like they were doing a top secret commercial. Glad to have some fun back!
