    Chicago

I'm planning a trip to Chicago the first part of December and was just wanting some suggestions for places to see and visit while I'm in town.

There's also a very famous painting by Georges Seurat at the Art Institute of Chicago:

I'd suggest looking up the Art Institute on-line. You could easily spend a day (or more) there.
One of my favorite stores in Chicago for years was Mark Shale on Michigan Avenue. You might enjoy a visit there.

Go see Graham at Optimo. You don't have to buy a hat (though you will really want to), but he has a neat shop.

If it were me, I would have to visit the Field Museum too.

Those two are definite. I assume they still have the lions from The Ghost and The Darkness there.

Yes, the lions are there. They are maneless lions and showing their age a bit. The Field Museum is great. Don't forget the Museum of Science and Industry too.
