Wow ! Royal/ Winchester rings a bell ! small world ! ..........Yeah you're right about my uncle !
But unfortunately I lost him to cancer about 8 years ago , he was VERY patriotic, having been in every single branch of service, including a couple yrs in the coast guard ...I'll miss him dearly !

The one in my avatar is a Russian IMZ Ural sidecar rig. They copied them from the Germans in WWII and have been making them ever since.

Here is my 1997 Badboy. It has 20,000 miles and looks brand new.

Here is my 1999 Springer that I converted to a Hydra Glide style front end with Heritage fenders and a Baker 6 speed. Sweet bike.

And finally, here is my 2011 Triumph Bonneville set up Thruxton style.

Yeah Lt., anyone that has been to the "Tail" knows what Killboy's pix look like.

    New Years Ride

Here are a few from yesterday on our annual New Years ride. Barbour jacket Levis 501 jeans, and saddle ring boots, way to cold for a vintage helmet. I had a heated liner on , so my upper body was warm, but I wore my lightest long johns, so my hands and legs were freezing! Last photo is my Sportster and friend Tony with his Vellocette with vintage Craven luggage. I have him looking for a Vello for me, hope I can afford one.

When I first looked at this topic I expected to find only those 1940s looking Harley Davidson's and Indians etc. What a pleasant surprise to find everything from mopeds to super sports to those Harley Davidson's I expected.
After years of owning and riding british bikes since I first got my licence age 17 back in 1976, I decided I had had enough of them and wanted something new.
I never believe machinery has character, with a motorcycle, it leakes oil because A, it was not maintained correctly or B, it was bad design. Same with the starting procedure or way the bike handles, there is usually a valid explanation.
And so I bought this motorcycle. A 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa. Built to be the fastest, it was at the time, it handles very well for a heavy sports tourer and my Mrs loves the comfy seat as opposed to the very short, hard seat on my BSA A65.
As an old Rocker, in my mind this is what the young guys would have wanted had it been available in the 1960s.
    Hope you like , Johnny
