I just won this "Modern" Stetson Gun Club.

I usually never buy modern hats, but I just love this one. It has a wide rolled and unbound brim. The crown creased measures 5 1/2 and looks fairly tall in the pics. I would bet its a 6 inch crown. The proportions are just right for a vintage western conversion. The only thing this hat is having done to it is a new crease and the removal of that horrible feather ribbon. I am going to make this hat a replica of Lefty's former Chamois Thin Ribbon.

This looks to be a perfect 100 with box - and a pretty impressive price at that size.

The same size Whippet didn't command nearly as much.

Yes, the 100 is nice. Until the very end of the auction it looked as though it would be a bargain for someone.

As it is, HatsEnough had to pay a fair amount for it.

I looked at the Whippet too - was rather put off by the fact a previous owner seemed to have suffered a bad head wound while wearing the hat.

We don't see many early 1950s one hundreds. Should be a nice hat.

That's a nice-looking Gun Club Josh, I pondered that one myself. I think it will make a good vintage replica. I reaaallllly like the feather band, though!
