    That was a killer deal for a Dunlap 40.
    If it had been a 7 1/2 or even a 3/8 LO I would
    have gone much higher.
    I find I'm tiring of stretching 7 3/8 hat these days...

    That will be some incredible felt.

    And never mind the seller, look out for that buyer!
    Personally, I would never want to be a member of any group where you either have to wear a hat or you can’t wear a hat.

    I am very curious why it didn't go higher. Did all the 7 3/8's guys blow their budgets on Whippets?

    It's weird how it's been cycling - a couple of months ago it was Stratoliners, now it's Whippets. That Dunlop Forty is a much better hat, probably in all respects. On the other hand, if it had not been brown it probably would have fetched a bit more.

    Very nice, Jimmy! I watched that one but didn't bid on it.

    Here is one I did bid on, a Whippet-like Royal Stetson. I think the color will turn out to be darker than the photo.
