That is a beautiful German Stetson, Chepstow! Whats interesting is the curl on that homburg. It could just be the pictures, but it seems that the curl has been ironed flatter than other American Stetson homburgs from that period. I like it alot. It reminds me of the original soft hats from the 1890's.

I have 4 Homburger but he looks much better than the other.

What is the difference Stetson Excellent, Stetson Premier, is the Premier fur felt higher grade

You may want to check some of the Stetson threads and see if the names cross over to the US quality labels from the same time period. I have late 50s Stetson - Mayser 3X Beaver Quality Homburg and that same label was used by Stetson USA.
