So here are a couple pics of my very first fedora. My wife bought this for me as a birthday present. As the Biltmore plant is closing down and moving to Texas, it has all its hats at some pretty big discounts (50-75% off). We ended up having to go back to resize, but I think she did a great job of picking out a hat that suits me well!





My wife also managed to pick up the very last "Guelph, Ontario, Canada" Biltmore hat box. As Guelph is my hometown and Biltmore has such a history in Guelph, this is a collector's item (at least to me) in and of itself!



Now she's got me hooked onto fedoras! We ended up going back (again!) and picking up a straw fedora while the outlet store is still open. I'll post up pics later (once I have some.)

Wow, that is a nice lid for sure, and you are lucky indeed to be able to pick up bargains before they close the doors there.

One of the prettiest felts I've touched but substantial number of light moth grazings, although they stayed away from the front half. More when better light.

The color of that is really an eye catcher. Real nice.

That really is a great looking hat, the color contrast is well done for sure, and when you look at the top of the hat and see the "grain" so to speak of the felt, you can see how beautiful the felt really is. Makes me want one!
