Talk to the hat, pal.
Haha, Beany and Cecil. You're dating yourself, Tony. My mother still has a lot of that stuff from when she was a little girl.Originally Posted by Tony in Tarzana

Ya wanna talk dated? I remember when Beany and Cecil was a filmed hand puppet show. I thought they were kinda scarey, actually. But I also watched the cartoon series. No Bikini Atoll! Woohoo!
As far as the original question is concerned, I posted a thread a year ago with my moth eaten college freshman beany from RPI in 1964. That's the only beany I've ever worn.
"Hello. I'm Mr. Hardy, and this is my friend, Mr. Laurel."
KTLA, the oldest TV station west of the Rockies, celebrated their 60th anniversary last year by showing old programs, showed a kinescope of a "Time for Beany" puppet show. Beany went to see the President, and they addressed him as "Harry."
I remember the cartoon from the 1960s, too. As for dating myself, I have to, no one else will.
