No difference between "beauty school" and "Cosmetology"...I think "beauty" is a more generic term and could be used for Esthi classes or Nail tech classes. When you say Cosmetology it just means all of them including hair.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! The reaction has been very mixed in my peer group. Most of them are very confused as to why I'm not going for my masters or some other...more accepted "higher education". Im really disappointed by their reactions...but I know this will make me happy and that is all that matters.

Thanks again ladies....I plan on opening a salon that has a very vintage feel and a does great vintage styles!

Well you can count on me as your Aesthetician. As a former and possibly future beauty school instructor (Aesthetics) feel free to ask questions. I'm sure you will succeed famously.

I got my Esthetican Liscense and came back to get my Cosmetology Liscense, currently 700 hours in, after Cosmetology the exhilirating world of Barbering School! Congrats on going, it's hard work but I have found nothing but joy from it!

Well you have all of our positive reactions! I expect the same reaction when I leap from art research to nursing school. "Uh, no offence, but I'm leaving the field forever, but, nothing personal." Congrats again - you're a role model for all of us!
