    Post-Apocalyptic Films of the 80's

Another genre I was crazy about as a kid!
    My favorite is the obvious:

That would have been one of mine but I hate the actor now, so retrospectively dislike the movie.

This is a great one, from my homeland- you probably haven't seen it.
Lots of great reviews and a bit of a sleeper:

    And this one... of course.

I've never seen "The Quiet Earth" and now I'm intrigued! Thanks BT!

I really liked One Quiet Earth. I thought it was interesting as the only ones to survive were at the brink of death.

I too loved Beyond Thunderdome. Come on, Tina Turner in a push up corset

PS, whats next Flat Top? Best time travel movies of the 80s

The Quiet Earth was cool. There are scenes from I Am Legend that reminded me of that movie. Particularly when he walks into the church in a woman's slip and a shotgun. "Come out...or the kid gets it!"

I was actually thinking about "Teen Sex Comedies of the 80's" but I don't think that would go over too well here! "Hardbodies" anyone?

Ah the Road Warrior. I still remember seeing the news coverage of the opening in Hollywood. They had wreckage of destroyed vehicles out in front of Mann's Chinese Theater.

Last of the V-8 Interceptors, be a shame to blow it up.
