My only real complaint is that it got damp and shrunk. So, I wet it down and wore it all day yesterday and it still shrunk. Today, I dampened it around the sweat and stretched it over a bowl and left it for the day. That seemed to do it. Must get a real block.
Really, I love the hat and it has exceeded my expectations.
My first hat from Bob finished by Art. I'm a happy man!

Steve, congrats, looks good! Enjoy it!

I received a very nice higher end Cuenca hat from Robert last week. We have been having a heat wave (breaking records often) up here in Canada's capital and the hat has been very comfortable on these extremely muggy high UV days . Another satisfied customert Robert. Thank-you!
Just heard back from Art
He received my PanamaBob hat bodies for the two hats I mentioned previously. Can't wait!!
@Duper,
I second that, any photos?!![]()
Art sure seems to know how to work some magic on straws. Really nice hat!
I am well pleased. This wide brim Montecristii was worth the wait. Art's blocking and ribbon are fantastic.
I was wondering about the little holes in 2 circles around the brim. I asked PB and he told me "That's the weaving pattern from a specific barrio in Canton Montecristi. Each barrio has their own weaving "marks", so to speak. That would be the mark of Pampa barrio."
I'll let you all count the weaves per inch. I get cross eyed trying.
Here is the backweave at the edge of the brim. Possibly the most impressive part of the weave.
