Beautiful buckle set Alan.
Yes turquoise jewlery is very common out here and I have been surprised by the prices of many of the pieces I have seen on ebay and other sites. I have also noticed that the local prices have risen considerably over the years. I think that may be because of the "e-bay effect" as well as the collector interest that has grown for pieces made by the various famous craftsmen.
Of course this is only supposition on my part, I am niether a jewler nor a collector, so my conclusions may be totally off base.
thanks for your perspective Dan. It seems like many things vintage the Japanese have a mortgage on some of the artists.
