J. Hückel´s Söhne 110th Anniversary booklet. It includes a short history (in German) of the company and some very nice lithographs. I had to be careful not to damage the pages while taking the photos.

Yes it's a hat shop / maker in Munich. I have a few vintage hats from their shop including this pre 1940 Breiter Velour. Today they only make women's hats.

There were big issues because of WWII and the forced nationalization of JHS. Fritz Hückel ended up in Bavaria and some ex JHS workers asked him help finance (he didn't run the hat business and was an auto engineer) Hückel Hutfabrik Weilheim. Hückel Hutfabrik Weilheim was able to produce hats under the brand Hückel in Germany but it appears they had to export under the name Fritz Hückel Hutmacher brand (at least to America). I believe TONAK had the rights outside of Germany. By the way Fritz Hückel is mentioned on page 5 of the booklet.

That makes sence for me. I have seen some TONAK´s in German Ebay, but not so often, most you see is Hückel!
