    Etymology of "fedora"

    Hey folks,

I got to wondering about that, so I looked it up. For those of you who don't already know, it's an American word, said to be from an eponymous play written by Victorien Sardou, who died in 1908.

Any of you into theatre, or maybe own a copy of the script? Those of you big-city dwellers, ever hear of a production company resurrecting that one?

I believe it stemmed from a female character in that play named "Fedora" ...she wore a hat that was later called a "Fedora" after her character...something like that...
