    Exclamation Imelda May

Do people here know anything about Dublin-born Rockabilly singer Imelda May? I came across her work recently as there was a picture of her in the paper (best female singer award) and she really caught my eye with her Vampira-esque victory roll!

Here is a picture of her:

And here she is performing a really catchy song called: "Johnny Got A Boom Boom" on the Late Late show (Ireland's - and the world's - longest running chat show)

If you watch the interview, she really epitomizes the best of Dublin. Really, really nice girl. She's a "real Dub" - coming from "The Liberties" in Dublin.

I think she's great! The song "Knock 1 2 3" is awesome. Her hubby is Neo- Rockabilly great Darrel Higham.

Heard Imelda May on the podcast of the Woodsongs Old Time Radio Show. She did several genres of songs, and concluded with a rockabilly number called, I think, "Mayhem."

Imelda May had some old geezer as a guest at one of her shows before Christmas. (sorry about quality)

    Cheers!
