    I favor the 2" ribbon width and feel it gives a fedora that slightly formal or polished appearance.

    It did at bit. It's not quite the bell curve we typically see, but it isn't flat either. Thus far 65% are 1 3/8 or more, while only 35% are 1 1/4 or less.

    Same as what I posted on the brim width thread. I wear a wide range of styles so all would apply.

    Also Borsalino made / makes hats with all different ribbon widths.

    ! agree...depends on the hat and the crown height...usually prefer at least 1 1/2...wider of course on my stingy brimmed hats.
