I just listed these on ebay, but I am bringing them to your attention as an item of clothing that is possibly of interest to some members here.

These are English-made thornproof woollen walking, hiking, shooting or climbing breeches. Or, if you're not the outdoorsey type, they can be worn just to look anachronisticaly spiffy with some Argyle socks!. They were bought at John Brocklehurst in Bakewell, Derbyshire (http://www.brocklehurstsofbakewell.co.uk/index.html).
