I'll Lock Up
My wife's grandparents on her mother's side (1) and her father's side (2). Her mother's father was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and worked most of his life as a welder for the NYC subway system. Her father's father was born in Italy. He was a clothing designer and a partner of Philip Mangone. On a trip to Europe in 1937, he canceled a return passage on the Hindenberg to visit with family in Italy. His partner returned without him and was fortunate to survive the explosion in NJ. Both grandmothers were Italian Americans who were born in NYC.

Wow! Excellent photos, Alan. The 1915 portrait is wonderful!
