Years ago i used a RAF Jacket, but i don't like the style for me.
Now i have a Afrika Corps Jacket.
It has the Typical short cut of German WWII Uniforms, i wish it a bit longer
Below the same Jacket before i re-dyed it brown

Hello GIJoe, I was wondering where that last picture was taken. It reminds me too much to a place near my village, in Spain.

It's amazing how it looks like Broto (Huesca Spain). Any way that's OT.

I like that jacket very much, the lapels specially, but I find it a bit short too. The original colour, is that on the second picture?

Teh Jacket is form Sperhead, avaiable in oliv an fieldgrau. The Jacket on the 2nd Picture is olive a bit bleached with javel water. The Jacket length is historical correct.
The short length of the jacket and the high position of the waist belt fooled the mind's eye into seeing almost every German soldier as a tall nordic "superman" with a trim torso and amazingly long legs.
.....but for civilian wear the jacket would look better 2 inches longer !!

I love natural fibers as much as the next guy (no synthetics in everyday life), but for technical gear, I prefer the advancements in textile technology that allow us to have lightweight, quick drying clothes.

So, that long, rambling post aside, does anyone know where I can get a classically designed bush/safari jacket suitable for technical use?
REI has the Holden Field jacket. http://www.rei.com/product/820230/holden-field-shell-jacket-mens

    Hello Gijoe!

I like your style and vintage expression!

If you wanna to get longer version of DAK tunic try in Gavin Militaria
    http://www.gavinmilitaria.com/index....tsfjcdb4suvcu6

bdw. I observe DAK tunics and find this longer version valid... they didn't have short versions only
(I am quite tall and find this version satisfactorily for myself)
