Out of the corner of her eye she could tell that Harry had been drinking.

"Lovely orchestra, eh, Ev?" Evelyn stared straight ahead trying to ignore him which she generally did most of the time. "It looks like they're playing our song, love," chortled Harry. Feeling a bit uncomfortable Fred tried to change the subject.

"You know, I've read such great reviews for this show, Harry"

"No doubt it will be a tremendous success," said Harry, "Knock on wood."

The worst part about dating Evelyn were the splinters.

I'll be in town all week. Try the chicken.

People think they are so rebellious and original, when really they are just banal, boring and dumb.

Sadly ....Cynthia’s demise occurred in 1939 when she apparently slipped from a chair at a beauty salon and smashed into a thousand pieces. Her passing was reported in the New York Times.

Happily, we are lucky enough to be left with a remembrance of her... in her lovely photos ... she might be gone, yes, forgotten never.

so, so many lovely dinner parties she gave ...

relaxing at home ... from her busy day... always admired .... always...

Let us remember, her death need not be in vain, she purportedly donated her body to science so that all those like "Cynthia" could benefit and live healthy, productive lives. She is truly an angel that graced us with her presence for but a short flicker of time ..

She left her vast art collection to the "Kookenhiem Museum".
