Seems this thread died After Matt Deckard took the show.
Hi I'm a long time listener first time caller.

I really would like to know if anyone has original patterns for this great jacket style, kicking myself that once a shop was selling one for 40 dollars.
It had a bright yellow gabardine front and burgundy sleeves, collar, and back. Ever since then i've been on the look out.
But if I had patterns id go out of my way to learn to sew and make one myself.
    any leads?

Awesome, keep us updated. With photos, of course.

Also, check out the vintage tailoring thread.

Yes of Course I will like some advice and or criticism towards this. All I need is the buttons and then We shall talk about it.
I used Brown Wool from an old pair of 40s trousers that got to small for me and needed repair. That made the collar, patch pockets, and sleeves. The front and back is made of off white linen to keep cool here in LA.

I understand, i have seen online I have bought online, and had reproductions made but they were always so expensive. I own a Burgundy corduroy Belted Hollywood. For leather jackets I have many but those are for the winter months and My wool sports coats. I'm making this Leisure sports coat. because I can and wanted too. I sell online as well so buying isn't what I'm worried about. I don't fully understand you reply though.

    I think we've picked up a spammer.
    If in doubt - overdress.

Sounds like it, he also posted on the leather thread. he really likes leather.

Anyways Heres The jacket.. almost finished Need just the buttons. and the pockets but still I havent decided to either just make them patch pockets or slit pleated pockets with contrast. NOt bad though If I say so myself for the first time I have ever sowed anything.
