Found a great site for pics and news resources. Go to: http://texashistory.unt.edu/
Here are some pics I found (and cropped) in the photo search. Tons of stuff to go thru. Check out the old Texas newspapers! Once you find a pic you like, click on it, then you can choose size. Some are scanned in as large and extra large.
Enjoy!

Thanks, buler, this is a great piece of documentation for hat boxes! The first documented existence of octagonal Dobbs boxes I could find was 1956 or 1957, can't remember which right now. I had always figured Hat Corp. switched all of their brands around that time, but here's proof that Cavanagh and Knox had already switched or else offered an octagonal alternative. Perhaps Dobbs offered both at this time, as well.

Keeping alive the Crofut & Knapp, Dobbs, and Cavanagh legacy since 2004. Visit my blog, The Hatted Professor.
The third photo down shows a particularly beautiful western pinch and brim. I'm loving this.
Thanks Bill, that is the coolest site!
Here is a neat photo from 1911.
From the site ‘’ Photograph of famed Mexican Revolution leader Pascual Orozco and other rebel soldiers. Pascual Orozco is in the center of the photo,’’

Great photos, Bill!
You can have my girl, but don't touch my hat!

These are wonderful. Is that Graham from Optimo in a former life? First pic, guy on the right!
Bottom pic looks just like Charlie Russel's hat.
