Aero Highwayman Style, Married Man on a Budget Price

Hello I really love the look of the Aero Highwayman leather in brown as an everyday jacket.

    http://www.aeroleatherclothing.com/p...etail.php?id=1

The problem is I just can't afford one for the foreseeable future. Does anyone have any recommendations for a jacket that is close to this style but say more in the $400 price range?

    Thanks for any help

Look on ebay and the classifieds here. You can often find a killer used jacket for that much. I've seen lots of Highwayman jackets this year on ebay.
Check uswings.com. They have "Indy" jackets that are not too far off from that and are a good deal for $195 on sale.
There are also other similarly styled jackets in abundance to be had. Good luck!
    What size are you?

Thanks for the reply Butte. I thought about looking used but I tried that with riding jackets and could never get what I wanted, but I'm not against it.

I'm a measured 46 inch chest but I wear between a 44 and 46 jacket. I try to go 44 if possible because I'm not tall (5'9) and 46's tend to be odd fitting on me.

Totally understand, but sadly, the $400 is limiting in this market. Maybe some of the other guys have better ideas for you. Another brand is Schott - lots of them on ebay as well. Good jackets - I have 5 or 6 of them.

Base price on the Johnson Leather M-200 is $446. I do not own any Johnson gear but I have read some very positive reviews here (jack miranda?) on their products. They are based out of California, specifically San Francisco. I am hoping to visit their store in the next few years as I have family in that area.

I'm wearing a M-200 as we speak. It's custom fitted and a very nice thing.

I see Highwaymen turn up regularly on eBay, and they sell cheaper than most other Aeros I notice. It'll take a while, but with some patience you should find one within your budget.
    If in doubt - overdress.
