    ^^^^^^

While I'm quite unlikely to join their ranks, I think I understand the enthusiasts and why archaic sports (and arts) appeal to them. And I appreciate that they keep those old ways of doing things from slipping away entirely. For all that is gained, something is lost, and sometimes what's lost is worth preserving, if only to remind us that "progress" is rarely if ever entirely to the good.

Me, I prefer the sound of wood on baseball over aluminum on baseball. And I don't think that the higher bat speeds and such that one can get with an aluminum bat makes baseball with aluminum bats a better game. Call me old-fashioned.

Anybody use or own vintage (civilian) ski clothes from the Golden Era? If so, do you wear the clothes while skiing?

    This might look familiar ...

There are old ski jackets and such I wouldn't mind having for wear on chilly days down here in the lowlands and on my winter travels to the mountains and other cold locales, but I don't know that one would be my first choice for a day on the slopes.

    Servus Ski-Kameraden,

Here's a great vintage-style skiing video from my friend in Fance:
