Certainly some handy information to have... Thanks!
"Every movement that seeks to enslave a country, every dictatorship or potential dictatorship, needs some minority group as a scapegoat which it can blame for the nation's troubles and use as a justification of its own demands for dictatorial powers. In Soviet Russia, the scapegoat was the bourgeoisie; in Nazi Germany, it was the Jewish people; in America, it is the businessmen." - Ayn Rand
Very informative! We need a thread like this for caps.
Great photo essay...Thanks! And always such a joy to look at beautiful hats and know when they were made....
This decade-by-decade exposition is something I have wanted to see for a long time. It assists vintage hat-buyers to eyeball their hats and guess a decade. I think it's highly instructive. It tells you something about cultural history as well--something indirect about what kind of attitude society at large had, during the time the hat was in vogue.
This thread should be a "sticky"!
I seem to have acquired quite a serious fever... and the only cure is more hats!
Best Wishes,
Justin
