This is really an earth shaking revelation, as far as I'm concerned. Really fascinating, and as the story points out, very convincing.

"Hello. I'm Mr. Hardy, and this is my friend, Mr. Laurel."
Wow,..that's wild. Imagine how he felt. Having Hitler for a dad and not being able to talk about it.

What a fascinating story.
Is it any wonder lawyers get a bad rap?Mr Gibault said that Mr Loret's own children might now be in a position to claim royalties from Mien Kampf ('My Struggle'), Hitler's famous book which has sold millions of copies around the world.
Workwear is the new Black.
Sounds like a Mel Brooks movie : "I WAS HITLER'S LOVE CHILD".

I wonder if this was the only baby ever born that didn't look like Winston Churchill?
Cheers!

I imagine the reunion would have been something like this had they met.
Though on a more thought provoking note, in any phone book there are quite a few people named Hutter (and even Hatter in its Anglicised form). Hutter is a variation of Hitler as are Huetter, Huettler, etc. And historically Hitler did have a nephew, William Patrick Hitler, who was the son of his half-brother Alois Jr. who had settled in Ireland before WWI.

Very fascinating read. Thanks for sharing this!
I remember reading in Andrew Carroll's book War Letters, there was a letter written to FDR stating that this person would like to serve in the U.S. military. He wanted to fight his uncle because he didn't like his ways. This person ended up in the service, but was never heard from again. His name was--Patrick Hitler. I can only image what other GIs thought when they heard that name!

If you meet some one by the name of Hitler, it's almost 100% for sure they are of no relation to Adolf! Alois Hitler the father was born out of wedlock, for the first 40 years of his life his last name was Schicklgruber after his mother. He finally changed the name to Hitler. He thought his father was Johann Georg Hiedler and Hitler is a variation on this last name. There is evidence that Alois's mother was working for the Baron Rothschild when she became pregnant, which is why there are rumors of Jewish blood in the family. Hitler did have secret police look into this, but the report has disappeared. So if you meet a Hitler, tell them you are sorry their name was ruined by the house painter!
