Harry & Edna on the Wireless

Following our good chum Greg's example, Edna & I have taken to the air waves with a weekly radio show playing delightful tip top tunes on our local radio station.

    http://www.homefrontfriends.org.uk/HFF-admin/page2.html

There is a listen again option, so even if you cannot listen to the show 'live' on a Wednesday between 7 and 8pm (GMT) you can still enjoy the show.

    This week we played

    American patrol ~ Squadonairs
Swing Cats Ball ~ Louis Jordan
Your getting to be a habit with me ~ Piccadilly Dance Orchestra
Dambusters ~ Ukulele Orchestra of GB
Non stop flight ~ Artie Shaw
One o clock jump ~ Benny Goodman
A 100 years from today ~ Eddie Ducin
Clap hands here comes Charlie ~ Count Basie
I’ll be seeing you ~ unknown
Now you has Jazz ~ Louis Armstrong

I say thank you Greg, always regarded you as 'the Govenor' when it comes to swing radio, so really chuffed you listened.

I say Mrs Chaddsley_Corbett I do not have that track in my own collection, but I'll see if I can find it for next week.

This week our guest was Joe Aylett from the MKDONS football (soccer) team & he spoke about his time travelling adventures. I'll put the 'listen again' link up in a few mins once it has uploaded. In the meantime here is a picture of our Edna and Joe http://twitpic.com/8woarf
