There is a slightly similar tweed jacket on Etsy. Not as old (seller dates is to 60's...) and with double vents. The fabric looks nice.

Hacking jackets are always longer than suit jackets--they literally are styled to look best when the wearer is seated on a horse, as opposed to standing. I am 5"9" and have a modern one from Bernard Weatherill--probably not as flattering but to change it would be to alter the integrity of the garment--it is what it is!

Bernard Weatherill can even provide that--at the very back of this picture of their current shop in Savile Row is the model horse complete with saddle to use to fit riding clothes for their customers. I think they have a full-sized horse in their window, too.
