    Allen Edmond Mcallisters

my first pair of Allen Edmonds just arrived from the US, in ok condition, I think the ebay listing was quite sugar coated in describing their condition, however still great shoes and im excited! they are a pair of dark brown, slightly burgundy Mcallisters. Does anyone know when the Mcallisters were first released, im under know illusion that these are vintage but it would be nice to get some timeframe of when they might have been made. Thanx!

McAllisters have been around since the 50s were dropped and were re-introduced in the 1980s I believe because of their popularity. The older ones get better patina than the newer ones as the leather was better. That is my experience anyways.

I have a newer pair and although they look good, they are corrected grain leather. No patina at all.
