My new A-1 of course. It is lighter than the A-2’s, and it's new. But the cool weather looks to be going away this week, so it will be only early mornings and nighttime only for a little longer...

What are your thoughts on the Ironhearts? Thinking of investing but they seem frightful expensive.
Likewise, I'm close to saying yes to a GW A-1. Dr H, what are the design tweaks you mention? And would you share how mcuh you got for your previous one?
And for scarves and all manner of vintage-inspired clothing, have a look at http://www.wolsey.com/. I bought a beautiful scarf and jumper from them to the pattern of those the same company made for Scott's ill-fated mission to Antarctica. (It might be cold in the UK but there's fairly little chance of freezing to death.)

My B-10 is the jacket I grab on the way out the door to work, light, comfortable and it does not matter if it gets soaked. Perfect for our changeable Scottish climate

Apart from the issues, they seem to hold up very well, alot better then any other jeans I have had. If it weren't from the slight fading they almost look like new so I think they will hold for a very long time.
You should know that they are also warm, but this should be understandable when one knows they are made from 21oz denim.
I love this pair but I wont get another pair, I think their tripple works are good enough (no experience, just guessing)

None, too hot, on the bike I still wear my jacket but not for much longer, it's 80 degrees today.
My Ironheart 634s in 21oz are by far my favorite jeans, a perfect fit and they feel bulletproof. Once you break them in they're super comfortable, and any other jeans feel like pyjama pants after wearing these. I'm going to get some of the 25oz ones in the near future.
A Vanson PLU-3 and Red Wing 2268s complete the outfit for me most weekends.
How do you clean/dry them? I saw some in Scotland and they're hefty SOB's!
Good question! I have only had them ~3 months, so haven't washed them yet. There are varying levels of OCD that people seem to go to with washing them, from buying special Japanese washing powder and hand washing them to just regular washing. I plan to just soak to loosen up any crud then cold machine wash and dry them flat. Speaking to Giles, who's the main man here in the UK for Iron Heart, this seems like the way to go.
