    Artie Shaw

I now own a knife that was once Artie Shaw's. The guy who lived next door to him in Shermin Oaks got it at the estate sale in 2005 after Artie's death. He sold it to my girlfriend for $150 and was given to me on my birthday. It has the initals AS for Artie Shaw on the sheath. It also came with a paper work from the estate sale stating it was owned by Artie Shaw.

Very cool. Leave it to lovable old Artie Shaw to own a knife.

That would be a great score. I'm trying to load the pics having connection issues. There is a Deco style design on the knife. I looked up the name of the knife maker and they made custom knives. The name of the maker is Greg Dion

eh, at least he was apparrently not as big a jerk as benny goodman, about the owning a knife thing, and, in my opinion he was a better player. His version of in the still of the night with strings gives me chills.
