Hawleywood's Layrite I agree. It takes time to learn how to use the product. I learned by using a hair dryer it helps to soften the pomade and makes it much easier to use. And since it is water soluble it holds like a wax, yet washes out like a gell, firm hold yet not stiff and flakey. Even the next day all I have to do to restyle my hair is run my comb under hot tap water and comb through.

I just got a sample of Lush's Dirty hair styling cream, it works really good! good hold, has good shine, smells amazing!!and washes out easy (I do the "no poo" method so trust me it washes out easy
