Annie Oakleys Stetson up for auction

So which one of you guys bought it as the auction closed this morning? It went for a lot less than the John Wayne movie hat Heritage sold last year (that was the one that went for $119K), but still for the price it went for one could buy an almost new car or at least a new entry level car! I'm sure it will appreciate in value much better than most new cars though.....

The Heritage web site description said it was bought for her as a gift by a brother-in-law, but it wasn't really stated how often, if ever, she had actually worn it.

BTW, did anyone else notice the size tag is 7 1/8? Seems like a large size for such a petite lady of the era, but maybe that was because she had long and thick hair. The hat looks so pristine that it must not have been worn much.
