A cheesy commercial, but great if you love the sight and sound of a classic aircraft like the Spitfire. BTW, I doubt British pilots were wearing German made watches during the war.

Actually, IWC (International Watch Company) is in Schauffhausen, Switzerland. The Prince of Wales wears an IWC watch, as did those pilots in WWII who were fortunate enough to have purchased one before the war began in 1939.

Søren (Spitfire) here at the FL posted this a few years back as he owns a couple of IWCs including the Spitfire model.

Rathdown is correct, TWC is a Swiss watchmaker.

And RAF pilots during the war were issued Omegas.
