    Resources for buying 30's/40's-style shoes?

I'm looking for 30's/40's style heels for my wedding. Sturdy heels, almost a Red Cross vibe. Searching this forum lead me to Re-mix Shoes, and their "Boulevard" style is close, but a little too chunky and not offered in the right color. Been stalking eBay/Etsy but no luck yet. Open to vintage or new, as long as they have the vintage shape. Anyone know of something similar to Re-mix, or any other resources for vintage shoes? I live in San Francisco and am regularly checking all the spots here, so mostly interested in online.

Hi Hollybrick! I think I might have the perfect website for you.

A Vintage Sole sell unused vintage shoes - in quite a few styles. Sadly the sizing is limited, so it's best to search by size to avoid disappointment. Modern shoes really do lack that beautiful vintage shape!

You can buy vintage shoes on etsy (www.etsy.com). Are you looking for white wedding shoes?

Hmm, I'll bet you're looking for more of a pump, like these cuties on etsy, http://www.etsy.com/listing/99096513...h_type=vintage but I wonder if the white mesh shoes over at Aris Allen would interest you: http://www.dancestore.com/Aris-Allen...tinfo/8829-WH/

I must say, Re-mix's Bloomsbury in white (with the white ribbon) would look stunning as a wedding shoe, but you'd have to be ok with sling backs. They also have the "Emily," which has more of a closed heel. You can buy Re-mix via their site OR Trashy Diva's (they have other vintage inspired brands over at TD, too): http://www.trashydiva.com/shop/Shoes...ry-Beige-c177/

Alice, this site is blowing my mind! Between the limited sizing and my picky color requirements (NOT black, white, or brown), I didn't find "the one," but I am so happy to know this site exists. Thank you!
