Is it really a 1930's Newsboy as described?

This looks like a nice 1930's newsboy cap at first, but then compare with this other 1960's cap with the same brand name.

    1930s

    1960s

Are they both from the 60's?

No. Even though I am no expert on caps, the size tag is a dead giveaway. It's made of modern materials as is the liner, and it states that the cap is a size "M". A vintage cap would state the size in numbers. They just look too clean and shiny and new to be real too. I would guess 1980's at the oldest.
    Anyone else have an idea?

The '30s' cap is not even well made. None of the panels' patterns match - not very 1930s-like. Smells fishy to me.

    Smells fishy to me.

That label is working too hard to pretend it's from the '30's. It's not.

Definitely not from the '30s. The button is too big, the bill is too short, and the sweatband is that modern post 1960's faux leather.
