FS: Double-Hat Storage Container

Here is my second ebay disappointment of the week that may work out better for you! I recently bought two black plastic, stackable, two-hat, storage carriers on ebay. They were advertised as taking hats of “up to a 3.5” brim.” They won’t! None of my Open Roads or fedoras will fit (and all are 2-5/8” or less). The only hat I could get to fit correctly was a homburg. These are great storage containers that have a built-in, adjustable “stretcher” to hold the hat in place, and would great for stingy brims, derbys, etc. – but nothing with any type of wider brim. I don’t have one to check, but would “guess-timate” that about 2-3/8” and under brim hats would work fine (I think my Homburg is about 2.25”).

I have several of these same-type containers that I bought from the local western wear store and love them. These containers were advertised as “seconds” (but I can find no defects) and I bought them for $30 each + shipping (I pay $37 each for single-hat units at the western store - doubles are $75 each).

I will likely have to pay the return shipping when I send them back, and would prefer they go to someone who could use them (I will lose some money selling here, but not as much if I have to pay the return shipping to the seller). If interested, I only have one left and I am offering the remaining container for $40 shipped in the U.S..
