I'm just wrapping up a week's vacation in Devon, England and my mother-in-law took me to a shop near her called DECO WORLD. It is not usually opened to the public, but a woman was standing outside smoking (awaiting a delivery) and she told us we could have a look around. I took some pictures. I don't think I've ever been in a room with so much eye candy before in my life.

I think I have looked at their website (I'm sure it's the same people running it) - many a time I have drooled over all the gorgeous furniture and other Deco bits and bobs on their site - now if I could just win the Euro Millions.....

I wanted every single thing in that shop. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. Everything was perfect.
Later on in the day we went into a junk shop in Barnstaple that had 1930s wardrobes in it for £10!!! My husband told me it was considered "junk" to most people in England (he's English himself). These wardrobes were in great condition, too. Too bad we have no way to ship wardrobes to Philadelphia because we would have bought them in a hot second
A place like that would hurt me to go into knowing I couldn't take everything home with me. It's like Pet places.
