For those who can wear it...

You should check this suit out:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

I'm doing my best to lay off eBay right now (although I'm obviously still browsing), so I'm not going for this one...but someone here should. This suit isn't in perfect condition...but I look for belted suits all the time and never see any on eBay, let alone a white one.

oh, someone here should grab this.

By the way, is anyone interested in me posting some more links to other 30s era catalogs I've seen on eBay? I stumbled across a handful last night, but I didn't know if anyone thought it might be uncool for me to post them (doesn't look like anyone's bid on them yet). They look great, but like I said...I'm trying to lay off eBay right now. Let me know and I'll put them up.

(In the last two weeks, I've bought seven more hats...I bought them sort of spaced-out, but none have arrived yet...with my luck, they're all going to show up on the same day. any time the postman shows up with five or six hat-shaped boxes in one day, it doesn't go over too well with the wife.)

It looks fantastic........but there will be angels flying out of my arse before I fit into that suit.

Hey, I know that suit! I just saw that one yesterday! I saved the photos because I thought it would be good for references.

Yeah, I would have bid on this one my self if I could have fit it! AAAAAAAAAARRRG! I really want a cream suit! I once found one like this, but it was double breasted, pleated patch pockets, belted back that one would have died for and it was long enough for me! But, the darn thing was for a stick! A 31 inch waist pant and a 38 or 40 sized coat. WHY??? So close, but so far away!

    Cheers.

Hey...watch who you call a stick, man...that's my size exactly!

(I'm kidding. No, I mean, it is my size...but i take no offense.)

Anyway, I would definitely bid on it, but it's just not in the budget right now. Well, I guess it could be, but I'm trying to be good. (That's why I bring it to you folks.)

Now I'm considering selling a hat or two to afford it...

OOOOOOPS! I say the word ?¢‚Ǩ?ìStick?¢‚Ǩ? with jealousy!
I wish it could fit me so bad. If you could find out a way to get that suit, you should go for it! If it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s your size, don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t pass it up because you may never find another one for a long time!

I have learned to make a way for getting things into my closet. If there is any thing that I don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t really use in my collection, I make it work for me! I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll sell some or trade some of it off for one really cool thing. So, I just try and upgrade my collection when I see something that I really like when the cash is low.

    All the best Havershaw,

    Rob.

Well, well, well... finally something in my size. If only I had been born in the 30s.

    Thanks for finding this!

Ken, I'm glad I could help.

One question, though...are you bidding on this suit?

...yeah, I'm considering picking it up...but not if you're bidding on it.

It'll probably get too rich for my blood, I'd suspect.

Ken, since this is your size, I thought this might interest you as well:

The wife says I can't get away with the double-breasted. Maybe you can.

And you might want to think about this one, though it'd probably need some altering, as it's a little big for the likes of us:

You couldn't go wrong with this:

Someone should grab this, too. "Style Guidance," they say:

Yes, this is what I do at 2.30 in the morning when I get home from work - window shop on eBay and try to unwind.

    Havershaw

Yes I am bidding on it (Ebay ID: agent_10) but dont feel that obligates you not too bid. I wont be able to bid too high on it anyway so if the price escalates a great deal I will have to drop out.

Hey boys! Havershaw, those are great looking suits!!! The brown pinstripe just might fit me! May need some alterations, but I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢m waiting to hear from the seller for some further info.

So, your wife doesn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t think you could pull off the D/B look eh? I think every vintage enthusiast should have one! Most men in the 40?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s did ware them. I think you could make it work. But, that?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s just me. Seeing that double breasted is my personal favorite.

Havershaw, could you keep your eyes open for any 30?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s 40?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s suits in a 44 long on ebay? Let me know if you find any please! You seem to know how to find good looking suits on there. Or if you find one in a vintage shop or thrift shop for a reasonable price, I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll buy it off of you.

    I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll talk to you later,

    Cheers.

    Those suits look fantastic.

If I could find a double breasted my size I'd wear it all the time... I love em.

    Good hunting.
