That's stunning! I've always wanted to do something like that.

The lighting and angle is magic! The feel of it is great and well captured!

The guy's sideburns and hair looks a little shaggy, kind of looks like a yong Sterling Holloway. The girl's hair is a little too "Laura Ingles" and not enough of "IT" to seduce a privet eye.

Sorry, that's just the purest in me coming out to play.

    Talking Working office versus executive.

I tend to set up 2 desks, one in front and one behind. If in a cubical I try to have a u shaped 3 desk set up. This allows me to have several projects going at one time and a general response area for customer service calls. Also a good catalog rack for reseach, in the auto parts game.

I love those huge roll top desks so I'd like to explore a roll top behind me and an open desk to the front.

The three D's of corporate executives:
    DELIBERATE
    DELEGATE
    DISAPPEAR

Tonto (Jay Silverheels) interviewing at NBC Studios (Johnny Carson Scetch, Carson is HR guy.)

HR person: "Do you have any other skills?"
Tonto: "Tonto can stay up all night! Hoot like OWL!"
HR: "Sorry, all of our vice presidential positions are taken!"

Too true, too true. But I work with the folks that are interested in doing these kind of shoots and not all of them are purists, as you can see. Still, a great deal of fun and there are always a few truly rewarding images in the mix.

Well, filmnoirphotos I see you live up around San Fran, there are a few people who know how to do it well up there! Do your self a flavor and find out when Stompy Jones is playing next, go and meet some people that know the style and have they're own wardrobe. With your talent and they're authentic period attire and hair styles combined, there's going to be some beautiful photos to be had!!!

    =WR=

PS. If you ever make it down here some time, look some of us up and we'll have a film shoot!

    Wild Root,

Good call about S'Jones, have seen him several times and indeed the attending crowd has a good share of well dressed folks. Have actually connected with a number of folks at these events, along with the Art Deco Society. Curious thing is, folks get all excited at the prospect of doing this kind of shoot after seeing my work, but most, like 80%, seem to flake out and either postpone, cancel or just not show.... A curious lot.....

Perhaps part of the problem is I only ask for a beer to do these shoots, as they are done for the love of the look, but I'm beginning to suspect that folks tend to regard the whole project as something very low priority since it is essentially free, and can always be done at another time. Guess I need to start charging something up front so people will follow through with the shoots.

It's from 1939. The blue thing controls the AC. The middle thing is lighted shelves. The Boss can control the radio, weather stuff, etc., from a control panel. The rounded desk seats all the "yes men" equally. The window is sealed. AC y'know.

Very cool. I like the copper elements mixed with the sweet deco chair. Where is the article from?
