    Mass Hysteria at Brooks Bros.

They really need to send a large wagon over to the BB corporate offices. People need to be collected and their heads examined. Perhaps after a long rest they can be a useful part of society again.

Good Lord! Are those palm trees?

With any luck, this couple will rot in hell - right along with the designer of that outfit.

Ah, yes ... the preppy look.

Here in the U.S.A., it was first "revived" in the later '70s within the gay community. Then came the movie Animal House, Lisa Birnbach's The Complete Preppy Handbook, the election of Ronald Reagan ...

The funny thing is, the preppy look never went away in other countries. Upper-class men and women in India, Brazil, South Africa, France, Honduras, etc. still go around wearing polo shirts with logos, and penny loafers without socks.

Ahh, but do they leave their trousers under a birds nest for a day before wearing them?

The dame doesn't look half bad, but the guy! I mean, "summer classics"? Those shorts are abysmal. The abortions from the seconds waste-basket. And the belt It should be lined up against a wall and shot.

I'm with Jack - with the whole rot in hell thing.

Looks to me like you can choose, at least between palm trees, understated sailing boats or, this year's most common design - spotted by Apparel Arts at Palm Beach from June until early August - yes, you got it ... the fiddler crab. Classy.

    Animal House is right

I think that is Greg Marmalard and Mandy in the second picture.
    The Omega house continues.

Someone tell me what they charge for these things. Do i really want to know?

Brooks Brothers is at the best of times one of the most overpriced garbage bags that i've ever visited. They must be overcharging for this rubbish.

80s are in at the moment i believe. And 80s fashions get described as "classics". Oh my, i'm going to vomit if i see those shorts again.

Were the preppies wearing the blazer with shorts, though? From my high school days, I don't seem to recall seeing that nonsense while I was beating them up.

    Trousers - $90
    Shorts - $60
    Belt - $48 (?!)

    Regards,

    Senator Jack
