Custom Oil Paintings

I've been helping a friend of mine launch his new website, specializing in custom oil paintings: http://www.repliquart.com/

I've been spreading the work among prop collectors, but after someone e-mailed us about possibly reproducing some J.C. Leyendecker paintings, I thought of posting here as well.

So if anyone is interested, we'd love to add some Art Deco style art (among other things), so feel free to contact Patrice via the website. I'm sure he could do Rockwell, Lempicka or other "golden era" artists.

Kind regards,
Indy Magnoli

"They seem rather expensive considering the sizes, and the fact they are "Knocked up" in china or Vietnam, really if you are going to hang something on the wall it needs to be H U G E to get any effect "

I have two of the 24" x 36" hanging in my study and find the size perfect:

At less than $200 a piece, I would hardly call that expensive for a genuine oil painting.

Kind regards,
Magnoli

Geez, what's with the hostility here? I'm reminded of the subjects of the "Dumbest comment" thread in the Hat forum.

If I offended you, I apologize. They actually have great skill with "western style" art don't they?

Hostility? I guess I should have said bigotry.

If it's not your cup of tea don't purchase one, but the gratuitous slams based on perceived origins of the artists are uncalled for. I salute Indy for his dignified response to BB's comments. I suppose BB wouldn't consider the paintings as having been "knocked up" if the artists were from Europe or North America, or if he would that the location of origin would then make the price worth it rather than the skill of the artist.

That's all I have to say on this subject.

Whether it's poem, or a painting, one views are always a reflection of ones own self. As a amateur artist, I can appreciate the skill it takes to duplicate such work. As this is a recession, as people are starving ( as I had to even lend money to a Friends wife to feed her children) we should of course save all the hard eared money we can. Excuse my ignorance, you must also call my values into question, what person could speak against this. Again, I must apologize for my ignorance. Have I no honor? How right you are to admonish my. Thank you

Exclamation Gentlemen - Gentlemen...

This room is for our Merchants. Please accept what is being offered in the honest, good nature that it is intended by 'the Merchant' (in this case, Indy).

It is neither the time, nor the place, to admonish others Gentlemen.

If you don't like what is being offered, then that's fine, just walk away. If you do like something, then contact the Merchant through their preferred channels.

But this is not the place to let off steam, it really isn't, and I hope you appreciate that now.

Thanks for your time in reading and contemplating this Gents.

Regards, Paddy.
