A classic returns.

This is the magazine I turn to vintage issues of to show me real life photos of the 40's. I'm happy to see it back and hope it lives up to it's past.

Life left and returned once before, I recall. It discontinued weekly publication around 1972, only to return during the 80s as a monthly.

LIFE was a great magazine to have around the house, growing up in the 60's. Lots of pictures, not so many words--perfect way for a curious kid to learn about what was happening in the world, without being bored to death.

I love old LIFE mags! As you said, they have lots of photos and not alot of words. I really like the size of them too! Big and bold! I think if they started to do these again, it would catch on like wild fire! I would buy a LIFE mag today if it were big and bold as they were in the 40's and 50's.

Any one have this one in their collection?

I do

Root.
